The Adventures of Master Pineapple
The
children who have cancer have a unique perspective on what that means to
them and their families. In the mid-80s I was the Northern California director
of the Starlight Foundation founded by Emma Samms. The foundation is dedicated
to granting wishes for children who are chronically or terminally ill.
One of the children that
I met was so concerned about his brother, who he felt not getting
attention from his parents touched my heart and left a permanent place
in my heart.
In 2006 I had a dream about
Master Pineapple and I woke up and wrote the dream out. By noon that day,
I had filled in the background information and created The Adventures of
Master Pineapple.
This is a story of hope
and inspiration for children and their families who are forced to deal
with the life altering experience of cancer.
I support A Single Light
founded by Nathaniel Montgomery and proceeds from this book will be donated
to A Single Light. The non profit organization is dedicated to finding
resources for those experiencing cancer.
